No window cover on the EPROM. Likely the code is corrupt.

Depending on pin allocation.
You MIGHT be able to pop that EPROM out & put in a Dallas 1230Y to get into NVRAM tuning.

The chip with the sticker looks like its there for copy protection - it would be easier to convert a standard memcal to NVRAM than to use this one.
Apart from the copy protection, it has the netres configurable for different cyl configs, but has no provision for limp mode.
You can usually fool those sorts of copy protection systems easy enough but if the bin is corrupted it could be a waste of time. You may be able to recover most/all of the cal if you're lucky, or you may just find garbage if the eprom window has been exposed to UV light.

WDS164E = Kalmaker workshop. The chip is the security PAL.

The copy protection is there to stop you from being able to read it :)
What happens when you try it in your car, does the high speed fan come on with ignition?

Not on Kalmaker, can still read the EPROM (via ALDL or in a programmer) as it does not obscure it. With no valid PAL the bin has code that disables the injectors.
