Issues with windows and eprom programmer

Post by nutbag355 »

So the issue I’m having is I’ve had my laptop reformatted and win7 32bit installed and now for some reason the gq-4x4 Doesn’t get detected by the gq program. It’s worked fine in the past (prior to reformatting) I’ve loaded the latest drivers and program but no joy. Programmer turns on and beeps when plugged in. Drivers are up to date.

Cheers

Google says "gq4x4" means "gq4x version 4" and that the latest software for it, isn't compatible with older versions of gq4x. So is that the issue perhaps?

seen this problem before. version 4x4 needs an additional USB driver from their site to be installed, otherwise it only works with USB 3 out of the box which many older laptops don't have.

This isn't an issue with the non x4 version. They work with the default windows driver.

link to the win 7 32 bit driver.
