Re: Uv eraser and burning help needed
My willem the zif socket used to get corroded and it would fail writes I would have to half close the zif and slide the chip side to side to clean up the contacts before locking it down. The 60 doller tl866ii is a cracker unit compared to a willem haha

Re: Uv eraser and burning help needed
That must be a common problem with the Willem unit. I have to do it all the time.
Re: Uv eraser and burning help needed
My Willem unit is 10 years plus old and terminals on it were the eprom goes into do look a bit crusty.
It took me a good 8 hours of uv light time 30 mins at a time on difrent angles etc to get it blank 2 times. It checked ok then I went to burn it and failed on the check after burn. 3rd time couple hours ago and it burnt and vertify ok

Re: Uv eraser and burning help needed
yea should be fine with the tl866II plus, no fakes and easier unit to use too if you have fat fingers like i do trying to flip those little dip switches also does a way better range of chips
Re: Uv eraser and burning help needed
