do you need knock filter if not just make one out of a v6 memcal
If Its Got Gas Or Ass Count Me In.if it cant be fixed with a hammer you have an electrical problem

Nope, don't need a knock filter for this one. I just like having a spare memcal to use with the UV eraser, that way I'm not stuffing around with the original as it's not for my car.

What needs to be done to change it over?

you just have to cut 1 leg on the netres ill get a link

http://pcmhacking.net/forums/download/file.php?id=3491 its the chip at the base of the memcal furtherest from eprom.5th pin down from the strip on the r/h side

Thanks for the links.

So i'll need to start with either a VR V6 memcal (I only have VN V6 ones here) so it has the 512k chip or I'm going to have to socket a VN V6 memcal and find a 512k chip to suit?

you need vr v6 auto memcal to have 512 chip allready soldered in.or socket a vn memcal and sorce an eprom
