The old girl has 345,000kms on her at the moment. Usually does about 800-900kms a week with the Mrs working in Sydney. Just need to see if this stalling issue was 100% fuel pump related so it's safe for her to drive.

Yeh I know about the emissions and sh$t ,maybe it just one of those old myths about stuff but it was always said and read about more bore wear due to colder water temps. I should of said this and not the rest of the engine but who knows.
Sorry for the hi jack.

Do the VY's run the PWM module for the fule pump like the earlier model's? Are they reliable?
I guess the fuel pressure check like Jayme suggested could verify this.

Re: Factory tune for VY S/C V6..
I wonder.....
My missus car just did something similar
Started the car, back out of the drive, gave it a reasonable bootful and it almost stalled... tried again and the same. Drove off nice and all was ok. At the next set of lights I launched it and it went like a scolded cat
So, next engine start, I thought I would test it again (but in reverse this time) and the same result except it stalled and didn't exactly want to restart. Once I drove off it was fine?
Very weird indeed.

Yeah they do. Tried another module. Didn't help.Dylan wrote:Do the VY's run the PWM module for the fule pump like the earlier model's? Are they reliable?

FWIW LS1 equipped utes run the same pump controller as the super 6 cars.

I think my issue is hot start open loop. I had been playing with open loop settings so I've gone back to factory settings and see what happens.
