You could use the chev ignition module d1927 from the us and commodore v6 coils will go straight on.
Also does anyone know what temp the cts runs out of range?

Re: Wanted V6 to teach apprentice
yep... it was around 140 deg. I wedged a v6 temp sensor in between the fins. if I get it going in a cart I was thinking I would have to find a different range temp sender and adjust the coolant calibration tables in the delco to suit.

Picked up a suspect VT for 100
Got a guy willing to donate some of the missing fixtures.
Need to know if the MAF is specific to the controller or will any natural MAF work?

You do want a MAF from the same application. Many of the after market ones on ebay are cheap copies and can cause problems. Its probably worth grabbing a factory VT one of another wreck. Should work fine and more likely to be good quality.
As far as different MAFs go there are voltage output type and PWM output types. All delco ones are PWM. Then different sizes output different frequencies. You may be able to mix between commodore models, but I cant say for sure. Can check the MAF scaler tables between the tunes on the source car and the VT, and could probably copy the MAF scalar table over if they are different. But it'd be safer to stick with a VT MAF.

Re: Wanted V6 to teach apprentice
all ecotec MAF's are the same, L67 as well, so can use any of those.
Re: Wanted V6 to teach apprentice
Thanks guys.
It's a part time project so progress will be slow.
There's even a Telma retarder possibility.
Have all the parts now the fabrication starts
