Hi, after the bits to make my rover V8 work with a 082 ECU, I already have the ECU and NVRAM and V8 wiring harness and distributor, but need all the other bits that plug in i.e.
Map sensor,
Ignition Module and wiring to coil and distributor,
Coil (can I use any type of coil?),
oil pressure switch (maybe, ill have to confirm if i have one)
MAT sensor (might be able to use one that i have)
IAC valve
possibly also the car side diagnostic plug to ALDL connector harness too, save me making one up?
If anybody has these available nearby to Brisbane would be a bonus, could you let me know?
Thanks,
Dave

Re: v8 conversion accessories
If your got a Hall effect disy you could use the std V8 ignition module. The coil must be a high energy type either Ford or Holden. Forget the oil pressure switch that's a silly backup for the fuel pump. MAT & coolant sensors compare to the range of your original ones. IAC valve I would fit up a VN or similar throttle body assembly to do the job that way you also get the TPS. Not a hard conversion and I would start with a basic 12P for a V8 and go from there.

Re: v8 conversion accessories
Thanks for the info, youve cleared up a few of my concerns,
guess what i really need to get cracking is:
Map sensor
Holden V8 Ignition Module and coil - I do have a coil and igniter already but i think they may only suit a non-delco setup (CraneCams Fireball PS91 and Bosch ignition module)
Ill see what i can do about the IAC valve as the rovers have an integrated throttle body on the plenum...

Re: v8 conversion accessories
You can get IAC valves that have hose tails, so you just install inline with a hose to the manifold; BMW rings a bell maybe? GM sensors are pretty interchangeable

Re: v8 conversion accessories
you could use something like this?
It takes GM style IAC. I am sure you could find one cheaper though.

I'm the director of VSH (Vlad's Spec Holden), because HSV were doing it ass about.
