noisy electric window - why?

Post by psyolent »

so i replaced my elec window in my vt with another one - of unknown origin. the one in there was stuffed.
its really noisy and makes a horrible groaning noise - sure operates fine, certainly motors up and down no problems, just noisy as hell?
our VX's are not like this at all.
is it a cheap shitty aftermarket motor thats the problem or something else?
i didn't use the rivets, but instead used bolts to hold the reg in place - its secure and no issues / tight.

any thoughts? i'm guessing cheap shitty aftermarket reg....

thats cool. ta. theres no cable, theres a gear and teeth that moves through, which, is plenty greased. the old motor did this, so i swapped it. so this one does the same. so not sure if its the motor.

What about dry window runner rubbers? Try silicone spray, should be applied regularly.
According to chemistry, alcohol is a solution...
