Subaru O2 sensor

Post by immortality »

Hi Guys,

Need a replacement O2 sensor for a Subaru, the local outfit want NZ$330 for one sensor....

Can I use an aftermarket unit or do I need a genuine Denso one?

Cheers

This is the sensor that came out.

The old plugs on that bank were all badly worn and showing signs off overheating.

I have had reasonable success with NTK sensors

I was planning on only the one. The other bank seems to be running fine but I'm going to pull that sensor tomorrow just as a sanity check. The plugs weren't to bad on the passenger side.

Simple 2 wire narrow band. I would use a Holden one and change the plug if needed.

i would go with the above, use holden which is delphi, bosch/NTK has been crap for reliability and response times from what ive personally seen, i helped a mate with a falcon last week, put a new bosch o2 narrowband in, did some datalogging and found it was barely getting 1 - 2 crosscounts, changed for delphi and it's now 10+ with excellent response.
