V6 Ecotec oil return

Post by Gerry.M »

Hi,

Looking to turbo my VYii V6 and was wondering if someone has some advice on the best place to drill the oil return.
Being an ecotec it has the alloy sump with the hammerhead bit at the front, so would it work if drilled into the top flat section of that rather than on the side?
Is that section likely to be completely full of oil all the time?

Thanks

I’ve put them up near the flange on the side, but will work the same going in from the top. As long as you can keep it out the way of belts and pulleys it will be fine.

Thanks for that, I'll have another look as I was thinking the same, might be close to the belt but I think it will work if tucked in close to the block.

Cheers
