The hose connects to a old fuel rail I use for cleaning the injectors and testing the flow.

here's the Holden specs, VS is same as VT/VX except VS Series 1 N/A was 300kpa.

VT/VX

High Pressure Pump - V6 and V8 Engines 21 grams/sec @ 350 ± 5 kPa with
12.5 ± 0.1 Volt applied

V6 Supercharged Engine 30 grams/sec @ 410 ± 5 kPa with
12.5 ± 0.1 Volt applied

VY

Fuel Pump Regulated Pressure:
V6 Engine................................................................ 350 kPa
V6 Supercharged Engine ........................................ 410 kPa
GEN III V8 Engine ................................................... 400 kPa

Minimum Fuel Pump Flow Capacity (at Regulated Pressure):
V6 Engine................................................................ 1.7 L/min @ 13.5 volts
V6 Supercharged Engine ........................................ 3.2 L/min @ 13.5 volts
GEN III V8 Engine ................................................... 2.5 L/min @ 13.5 volts

Fuel Pump Current Draw (Steady State at Regulated Pressure):
V6 Engine................................................................ 7.4 Amps maximum
V6 Supercharged Engine ........................................ 18.0 Amps maximum
GEN III V8 Engine ................................................... 9.6 Amps maximum

Where did those current draw specs come from??

In my experience most of them are waaaayyy over the top, particularly this one - "V6 Supercharged Engine ........................................ 18.0 Amps maximum"
The wiring in those cars isn't capable of that sort of current. We would condemn anything above 6.8amp with 5.5amp being ideal.

It is amazing how much extra current draw a blocked filter causes.
According to chemistry, alcohol is a solution...

The fuel flow of the L67 pump matches what I was told, but AC Delco's data sheet said the NA pump is 2.4L/min @ 200Kpa. Maybe the higher pressure of this table accounts for 1.7L/min?

yeah I agree on the current draws, seems like double what they should me.

That's interesting the standard pumps are listed as turbine where SC one is roller vane. I have cut open a few stock V6/V8 ones before to see why they failed and they were all roller vane as well.



Also the AC delco data sheet puts the VT v6 pump at 2L/min and 9.6 amps. Where as VN-VS non SC is 2.4L/min and 7.5 amps.
