Motronic 2.3.2 questions
has anyone here ever worked with motronic 2.3.2? This ECU belongs to the 2.2 audi I5 20V turbo. it seems strange compared to all other motoronic ECU's of this era because it is 2 separate computers in 1, one for timing/fuel control and the other for boost control. im trying to learn more about this ECU but i seem to hit road blocks with everything i try. recently i was trying to understand the OBD protocol and create a basic ADX for tunerproRT so that atleast some basic logging could be done but i cannot get it to communicate. i was also told if i worked with the OBD protocol it would help me learn the scalars for some of the mapping but i dont see how. i've read 15 documents on the KWP1281 protocol and it doesnt make sense in relation to the code in the ECU. im lost, can anyone here help?
Re: Motronic 2.3.2 questions
What are the hardware numbers of the two ECUs?
I just had a quick look at a bin file from an M2.3.2 boost ECU and can see a dozen or so pressure maps, they're a simpler format than the normal Motronics, does this ECU support diagnostic comms?
Are you sure your ECU speaks KWP1281?

Re: Motronic 2.3.2 questions
For those interested in Motronic 2.3.2 a fellow audi enthusiast decided to release all his information about the ECU. mid you there is a lot to grasp here lol. he has a full genuine speed density conversion, launch control, flat shift, high speed data logging and map switching all in the factory code.
