Motronic M3.3, BMW V8

Post by Mykk »

Hey everyone, newb here. Still learning all I can about the motronic code. I've pull apart the 2nd section of the code and have found the control maps & tables and now want to learn the 1st section of code. I'm assuming it's all for the 8051 series microcontroller and thus in the respectable language.

Any good sources to read up on and learn from regarding disassembling the 1st section of the code? In my case it's located between hex addresses 2000 - B9D3. Thanks!

I've been looking into the 8051 assembly language and it's hex code counterpart, focusing mainly on DPTR's that access external memory (the maps and tables), but I'm not finding any similarities between the two...perhaps someone who knows could help.

I don't know if this is suitable for you but you may want to have a look at Domino Tuning Suite or Bytelogger by Renovelo.
