I think efilive keys should be standard, so it was probably locked by the tuner. just boot it in recovery mode and do a read in pcmhammer and look at the word at 0x4002 or 0x6002.

Hi,

I have problems with a seed/key for Saab and Opel ESP unit models around 2008. I have 2 pairs but can`t find any algo match. Anyone that have this? Seed request is level 0x27 03

seed 0x1E3A key 0xBDFF
seed 0xBB55 key 0x1890

If any one have something let me know

Regards Micke

27 03 is DVT access. Those were only ever used internally at GM, so I don't think the algos ever got out in the wild.

a similar approach as documented in post #1 but on the saab card might get results.

Well that's interesting. GMs own documentation says it's for manufacturing.
This is the requestSeed level for enabling vehicle manufacturing specific device control restrictions (as opposed to having service device control restrictions enabled).
Sounds like someone needs to get into one of those Tech2 cards and dig out the algo.

Is it used at any point for updates or programming sequences with GMs online techline?
