ABU-242 to ABU-244 Conversion

Postby Drew22 » Sat Jul 17, 2021 4:26 pm

Hi All,

Would any one know the value of the pull-up resistors for the boost pressure sensor on input pin C2? (BA Falcon pcm) I have measured a ABU-244 turbo pcm and its around 4.6k from pin C2 to VREF on pin C30.

I still think I'm missing part of the picture and I haven't got a buggered pcm here to pull part and see whats missing. The turbo pcms are getting a bit too expensive to rip a good one apart :(.

Cheers

I wish I knew the value for you as it's a cool idea & 242's are alot easier to come by, when I get to the workshop on monday I'll have a look what I have!

Ahh awesome mate, be good if you had one kicking about to check out. Might have try a 2k2 (pull-up) and 2k4 (input protection) and see how it goes.

I can feed voltage into the yellow point with the lab ps and its sees boost pressure in the live data. The pcm has been loaded with a xr6t bin. With a 242 basically free to $50 it's a better option than the 244 if it works.

Hi , nice train of thought Drew22 , has anyone done anything with lpgas PCM's to compare it physically if it can be used in a similar manner.

Are the ABU-213, 243 & ASU-113, 133, 153,173, 223's ( & the FG range) LPGas PCM drivers inside different to petrol drivers with the additional pin auxiliary outputs????

Does anyone have handy LPGas PCM pinout wiring diagram.

You realise there are wreckers guys lirking around which may cause that $50's become multiplied by a factor of 6 or 7.

Thanks.
