Ford I6 ef onward Delco conversion
Just a question at this stage....
Has anyone ever tried using the EF 6 cylinder CAS to use on delco?
Seeing they have zero logging abilities converting to delco seems like a logical way to go!
From memory the back of the EF harmonic balancer seems something like a 50 to 1 signal with using a modulator can it be done on a delco simply to then adapt the rest of the ford setup & then adjust the injector's to suit & then a cam?

VL400's programmable ignition module would be needed and then the rest will be easy.
I'm the director of VSH (Vlad's Spec Holden), because HSV were doing it ass about.

EASY... How's it going to run a btr 4 speed for starters?
But other sensors may be programmable just not sure until I see if other people have tried it?

good point, didn't think about autos. Put a t5 in it? or maybe run the EA 3 speed auto, those hands down the best auto boxes I have ever driven.VX L67 Getrag wrote:EASY... How's it going to run a btr 4 speed for starters?

you could use the d1928a (V6 Jackaroo.) module with the right amount of teeth cut off the trigger wheel. it's only a tight fit in the balancer anyway and easy to remove/index as necessary. at the risk of sounding like a broken record, ford has a stand alone controller for the btr 4 speeds. used in ea and eb-el V8 falcons.

Ahh cool yeah I remember that thread, awesome I can give the customer that option...
Whats the standalone controller look like for the btr 4 speed & what signals does it need to use from delco & will it be compatible?

I just did a search on BTR & found this too...
viewtopic.php?f=39&t=3756&p=45743
so it looks like the whole system could be controlled with 11p, would be good if that other thread had how he set up the engine side of things too.
