BA swap harness questions

Post by Th3cavalry »

Hey mates!

I'm doing a Barra swap in the US into a 1995 Mustang Cobra.

I'm going to use a factory BA turbo PCM and making a stand-alone harness.

I have a few questions.

1) Is there a place I can purchase the empty A-B-C PCM connectors and where can I also find the PINs?

2) The PCM is an auto and will be using a manual body TH400. I am buying PCMTech and my tuner uses HP Tuners. What settings will I need to change to run as a stand-alone.

3) Is there a list of what components and sensors are needed? I understand know the basics. Injectors, coils, trigger, the VCT, oil pressure and stuff. Is there anything that's out of the ordinary?

Thanks!

Jump on our forums and have a read about the settings you need to modify. Setting up a manual standalone PCM isn't too hard, but you'll need to wire in a speed sensor. You could go to someone like one of these two guys and have them make up the loom and everything you need. If you don't plan on tuning the car it might be cheaper to just get these guys to do everything for you. If you want to tune it I'd still consider getting a loom built by Killa who has done many of them before. They can supply everything you need to fit the new speed sensor as well.
