Software and hardware require to tune pre BA ecus?

I'm very much a Tunerpro / Hptuners tuner and well familiar with the GM side of Ecus and tuning.

However, in wanting to look into what's requires to start looking at pre BA (Mainly AU falcon)

Whats my options here?

Ive never really looked into the Ford stuff at all let alone pre BA stuff.

So unsure if they have a memcal setup or what?

A friend of Mine has had much trouble with somebody claiming to be able to tune his AU ute, so I'm wanting to help him out and venture into the Ford systems
