Hello gentlemen,
I have a friend that wants to send me ECU from a 06 3.5 Saturn vue. Hpt doesn’t support these ECUs. I really don’t know what these are considered to be as hardware names are concerned. The part no is 12609702. Do you guys know if universal patcher can read the bin out of this? I need to disable some dtcs and take a look at the vats parameters. Seems like these are one of computers? If patcher can’t does anyone know of a tool that can?

universal patcher bundles a copy of pcmhammer for read and write, and pcmhammer does not support this. I plugged that number in to ebay and got this image. It looks like a motorola brand pcm and I havnt seen much of anything like that. Cant really help you with a tool unfortunately. You'll just need to google and see what you can find, if anything.

You might look into some of the Honda J-series v6 communities, the 3.5 Vue uses a Honda engine, trans, & ecu.
I'm not sure if its actually the exact ecu that's in the MDX though as I'm pretty sure the Vue uses GM class2 for communication between the ecu and electric power steering module etc.-

You learn something new every day, had no idea GM and Honda had a joint venture with these Saturn's.
If they are class 2, seems like it wouldn't be too hard to read

IF it has an LX9 3.5l engine it might have a P05 PCM, which isn't supported.
I beleive the later LZ4 used to e38.
What is the 8th character in the VIN?
Mike

P05 could be added to pcmhammer one day, I think its the same family as the others.

For whatever it's worth, this thing is called an E15.
