LS1 ecu fuel consumption output

They go by many names, P01, P59, VPW, '0411 etc. Also covering E38 and newer here.

LS1 ecu fuel consumption output

Post by LF24 »

Hi,

I'm in the middle of dropping an ls1 & t56 into my VS ute. I want to get the fuel consumption functions of the level 3 dash working but I don't know which ecu pin to wire it into. Anyone have any ideas??

Thanks for the help,
Alex

I cant say for sure but I think it is not compatible. I think ls1 fuel consumption data comes out on the VPW data bus of later models and through the PIM to convert to ALDL and then in to the later model dash boards as serial data. Where as the VS signal is PWM on its own pin. If someone knows an option to reconfigure the '0411 pcm to provide a compatible signal let us know...
