Definitely is. The only benefit is like you said more tuners for the average enthusiast that doesn't do there own tuning. All of a sudden old mate with his turbo Ecotec has an enormous market for tuners with 3 bar support.

Yeah potentially opens up a lot of tuners but I don't know how many ls1 tuners would be up for making a calibration for a v6 from a v8 tune would be a big undertaking I reckon to get all the drivabuility dialed in sure easy to get it idling and going wot all the niceness in between would take days .the guys that have all ready done it are way ahead having a base tune to flash straight in there and fine tune .I might have to get me an ls1 ecu and have a play they arnt cheap here 400-500 bucks

Well there is a v6 bin earlier in the thread and an xdf here http://www.gearhead-efi.com/Fuel-Inject ... 212156-xdf and i reckon you have an AVT? If so you can use pcm hammer with that, full os flash isnt far away. With the avt you can log with jaymes xdf and if you have the analog input on it you can add wideband to the stream. if you dont have an avt the allpros are cheap when they come back in stock. we still need an adx but we have an idea how to make one as we have elm327 ones and it would be very similar but just needs packet size tweaking and some initialisation macro changes I think to get it working for allpro.
Have you read the FAQ? For lots of information and links to significant threads see here: http://pcmhacking.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1396

No clue what shipping would be, is online shipped from the US any better?

I mean that is just crazy, I don't want to pour salt on the wound ... They are like $35-50us locally.
