Ok guys from what I've read on this post I'm very Interested from what I gather from the end I can swap a 411 pcm witch I have in my basement into my 2000 grand prix and swap a few wires and ground one and run the grand prix.....with it's current coil packs and modual..... if this is true sign me up I'll do it and I'll make everyone the start file... I have efi live, hptuners, avt-852 for pcmhammer sounds like i have a new project... also my prix is minor mods hot air box, 1.9 roler rockers, #90 velve springs, 60# injectors, headers 3.25 pully already run speed density on the cars factory ecm but would love to have efi live 3bar. Hope I understand this right cheers.. :)

yes that is the understanding, but the problem is all the people that milked the forum for information on how to do it just stopped being active on the forum after they got what they needed, so we are all just going off that assumption, if you are willing to try and do it on yours then you'd be blazing the trial a bit and by all means post your outcome to others can use the info.

Awsome guys you give me hope for better tuning on the old prix. Look forward to doing this have a 411 pcm already and started printing wiring schematics last night. Now when you say you used a vy ls file Dylan I'm assuming this is a Holden 411 file just trying to figure out witch file and vehical model will be best to start with the pcm I have is from a 2002 1500hd 6L Chevy silverado. I'm thinking one should be able to run the 4t65hd off the 4l60e or 4l80 trans file as it's just shift solenoids and such. And yes anything I figure out I will post here this site is awsome and full of great info. Thx for any more assistance guys.

i dont think it really matters which tune you use, nothing will really be perfect, but i'd be looking for one thats closest match to the gearbox calibration then go from there, most of the rest is just setting changes the ignition side.

Dylan might be able to provide some more info non the less.

on a similar note i have just put money down on a 0411 and loom, want to play in this realm one day, i need to find a V6 in running order i can put on a stand !

Ok guys so I've been digging through wiring diagrams and such and just brainstorming about this project I am going to attempt it just a matter of getting myself all set up. So been trying to figure out what file to use and then it downed on me have to do a bit more digging here as im unsure if they use the 411 style pcm I belive they do but from what I've looked over a 2005 or 2006 grand prix gxp with the 5.3l 4t65e I belive is going to be the file of choice. All trans electronics are the same and if it's still 24x ref 5.3l then should be a matter of pining pcm and tuning any thoughts?

If its got the same trans that sounds like a good starting point, but ive just checked a few 04/05 OS and they're coming up as P04 or P05B hardware, not P01.

Yes after some more digging they run the e40 ecm and t42 tcm according to efi live but 05 and 06 are still 24x crank 1x cam so I belive I might just try rig up a stand alone ecm/tcm and see what I can do with the e40 ECM as it supports 2bar through efi live
