The pin only seems to appear after I make sure I remove the device and ensure it does not appear anywhere in windows. If I add the device again without removing all traces, then it seems to not ask as I believe it just uses the pin previously entered which says pair successful.

I tried again this morning and could not get windows to maintain a connection. I did my exact instructions which worked multiple times in a row, but appears I cant make it work now.

Honestly, would not bother, windows and bluetooth are just not good mates. The third edition of the VT line will be utilising a ESP32 to allow a WIFI connection which will be a much better fit for PC communication.

I'm hoping the next version of the VT line will also have on board data logging :)

@draz53,

Don't know why I didn't ask before ... If you do any more testing I would appreciate logs, screen shots or whatever showing PcmHammers hard crash.

So we can work on making it more graceful ...

Thank you

Its a good question. I think there have been a couple of attempts to create repos. First there was 'boardtruckowner' but he seems to have stopped. Then snowman picked up the mantle but last time I checked his repo was still mostly empty directories, though this might have changed. For now you might be better off just using google. You'll find some around this site, some on gearheadefi, and elsewhere. There are some good ones and some bad ones around, but it'd be great to see someone pull the good ones together. Maybe we need to start a thread here and take submissions from anyone who can verify that any given xdf is good.
Have you read the FAQ? For lots of information and links to significant threads see here: http://pcmhacking.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1396

Mainly 12225074 which will cover majority of the late VX - VY
Then possibly 9381344 for the VTs
And
12202088 with their strange force motor tables to complete early VX

Kind of on the same topic, and this may be of old news bit have you seen this?

https://forum.hptuners.com/showthread.p ... Parameters
