They go by many names, P01, P59, VPW, '0411 etc. Also covering E38 and newer here.

I dont think so. It looks to me like you pay them to be able import what you already have for free in tunerpro, but in hptuners then thats it. I dont see any way to edit or view the definition in hpt, or export it back out.

As far as I know, the snoman XDF collection is complete. I mean, I don't know of any other xdfs that aren't in there.

So I think the best thing to do is just switch to an is that has an XDF: https://github.com/LegacyNsfw/PcmHacks/ ... ng-Systems
Please don't PM me with technical questions - start a thread instead, and send me a link to it. That way I can answer in public, and help other people who have the same question. Thanks!

How can I define WB in version 15 logger?
In version 14 this works:

Code: Select all

    <Parameter Name="WB AFR" DefineBy="Pid" ByteCount="1" Address="0x114E">
      <Conversion Name="AFR" Expression="(x/21.473)+7.3125" />
    </Parameter>
But file format has change...

Edit:
And where is Alcohol % from Flexfuel sensor?

Edit2:
Reading sourcecode and I think it is all clear now :thumbup:

For the PCMLogger, what about doing the 'fingerprint' approach, to test every single known PID on initial connection to a new car, then build a parameter XML from that which can be saved per vehicle VIN, so it instantly loads on next boot?
This takes away the guess work for what sensors are valid and what are not.

Any updates on p04 pcm?
L36 3.8 engine, Camaro.
I remember there was nothing about it.
No reading/flashing. Also no XDFs.
Am I right?

Yes, I am not aware of any active development for that unfortunately. It would take someone with enough of the skills to come forward and give it a shot. We could support that person to a point, as far as flashing goes. It'd take work on a kernel, and on the app.

I'd like to see that. :thumbup:

I'm currently working on setting up a Jeep 4.0l inline 6 to run on the P59 4.3l V6 PCM.
Here's a link to my thread. viewtopic.php?f=42&t=7574

I have a friend that wants to run a Ford 390 on the P01 or P59. He doesn't care which one as long as it runs good.
That is going to be a project I'll be helping with sometime this spring.

Re: PCM Hammer P01 and P59 flash tool v015

Post by antus »

FYI this is the thread for a very old version of pcmhammer (v15). But I'll assume your using v21 (the current version). It looks like your interface cant send 2k packets. PCMHammer is reporting that its sent that blob of data (which is the kernel that runs on the pcm) but the pcm does not respond. To get to this point it means the PCM and PCMHammer have been communicating, and everything is in place for the upload. So this means that the interface is not capable of what is required and is not compatible.
