Free bricked PCMs? I'll send, no charge!

They go by many names, P01, P59, VPW, '0411 etc. Also covering E38 and newer here.

Free bricked PCMs? I'll send, no charge!

Post by codemanrose »

I was cleaning out my garage since we moved last year and found a large box with about 4-5 PCM's (896/411) that i am sure are all bricked. I was playing around last year and screwed a bunch up with bad XDF files (changing items I should not have). Was curious if anyone here is interested to try and unbrick them or use the boards for parts at all? I am asking as I'm about to package all the stuff I don't need and trashing it. Would be curious to see if someone much smarter than I could dig into them and maybe teach us/me a few things if it can be done.

Let me know, thanks!

I saw FREE :D If in USA I will shoot you some shipping money to help. Out of country stuff gets pretty expensive.

Yea, I'm good for donating a little shipping money to the cause here if it helps the development effort. Even to the overseas folks. I've got five different PCM's around here in various conditions of tune and don't need another. At a cost of about $18 each around here at junk yards on Half Price Sale Days, its hardly worth the effort to box one up and ship it.

LS Droid can unbrick them with lid removal and grounding a certain pin on the board at power up.

CodeManRose - send me a PM with your PayPal address and I will send you some bux for this.

OK, so I went out to dig in the boxes. I should have looked better.
I have 1 bricked 896, 1 bricked 411, 1 bricked 463 (p59), and then I believe one from a 3800 firebird. I could have swore I had more. Might yet, just didn't go through all the boxes.

Let me know. I can ship all them out to someone if they want to tinker with them. Would like to throw them all in one box if possible.
