address space for saved values

Post by draz53 »

Is the 512K memory all there is, or is there some additional for saving things like CASE (crank variation) learn values, and VATS password(?) from the BCM? In other words does writing a new bin overwrite that stuff? Or does writing the bin maybe skip some area where parameters are saved? Sorry if this question is too elementary or has been answered elsewhere, couldn't find out by searching. This is for a P01 in particular.

It is what it is ... There is no more!

Those parameters are stored within that 512k binary in the Parameter segment (or Block as some call it), there are two of them, one starts at 0x4000, the second at 0x6000 and they are 0x2000 bytes in size.

When you do a "Write Full Flash (Clone)" with PcmHammer you are in fact writing everything, the whole binary!
