Hello to all members and thankyou for taking your time for clicking my first post

I have a freshly rebuilt 4.8ls with +.020 forged pistons and slightly longer 6.3 inch rods and stock crank refreshed heads and a CAM SPECS: 202/202 .511/.511 111+1 everything setup its still a 9.4:1 CR like stock LR4. It came from a 2002 GMC Sierra 4l60 trans DBC return fuel mechanical fan VIN 1GTEK14V62Z133730

I am working on standalone harness now Im going to be putting it in a 1990 G20 3/4ton van with a TH400 transmission

My question is will the stock tune run the engine with slightly bigger displacement and that cam? Need to run a decent tune for rings to seat and other parts to settle before I put the turbo on and Megasquirt 3
Do I need to segment swap to a manual transmission?
Is there some settings to keep the PCM running in closed loop because there is no speed sensor or gear selector input?

I dumped my OS 12212156 LSDroid with a OBDLink and downloaded the 12212156 V4 XDF got TunerPro to open the file and so many options its giving me a brain fart.


I also downloaded PCMBuilder and downloaded a 12212156 OS for 02 TA and manual trans, did the build option and just selected TransCal and TransDiag from the TA bin rest is my dumped PCM bin with patches.

Is it really that easy to make the bin and make a few adjustments with TunerPro save and reflash to PCM? Or do I need to do more homework? If so can i be pointed in the right direction.

With different displacement but still standard injectors you need to fudge the base injector rate as a minimum

Forgive me Im still newb would I lower the flow rate of the injectors .01 - .02 to make the PCM think the injectors are smaller to it make it pulses more fuel or do i just bump the main ve table a fudge?
