Switch in Hex for Inverted Cam Sensor
Re: Switch in Hex for Inverted Cam Sensor
There is some calibration for l18 engine 8.1 l bbc, but I guess it differs with the older stuff. It already have COP but I am not sure about the firing order.

actually going to try the 8.1 cam sensor and compare to the weird one I have....maybe it'll swap 1 for 1 and not be inverted.kur4o wrote:There is some calibration for l18 engine 8.1 l bbc, but I guess it differs with the older stuff. It already have COP but I am not sure about the firing order.
Re: Switch in Hex for Inverted Cam Sensor
The only way to get the signal inverted is to phase the camshaft 180* off or the sensor is mounted on oposite side again 180* off.
Either way I think it can be tuned out. As long as you know the TDC of cylinders for signal rising and falling. We just need to match cylinder ids{A-H) vs actual cylinder number.
