Did more research and found. That the LC holds the rpm tell 105kpa then you retard the timing I get it now. Just getting the timing figured out.

Launch control is active when brake/clutch applied, throttle position is greater than X and vehicle speed less than Y. Where X & Y are parameters in the XDF that need filled in by the tuner.

How did you change the map steps from 5 to 10 kpa each?

Nevermind that. I figured it out after reverse engineering every aspect of the patch.

To use the Patch, do you for eg, use a normal XDF for the OS your using (12212156) to make all other changes like spark advance etc, and then open up the bin file with the Boost OS patch XDF, apply, then use that to make any changes to VE, PE LC etc instead of the normal XDF?

If so, if you edit the VE table in the normal XDF, will this overwrite any changes in the custom OS?

Also, if i apply and make changes to the bin with the custom boost OS and then flash it in with pcmhammer, can i then pull the file off the ecu with HPT and make editing changes with that aslong as i dont over right it with a HPT custom OS?

Or will HPT think the files corrupt if it tries to read the boost OS patched ecu?

I guess I missed your post, but you want to only make changes to the new/modified tables in the XDF provided. Otherwise you risk making a change that was not intended.

HPTuners/EFI Live will likely not have any tables for this modified OS, but I haven't tried it.

If the addresses used are within the available user defined areas you could use the XDF in the user defined parameter to make adjustments to the tune in HPT. Just throwing that out there as a potential option.

I would say that they wouldn't allow you access to the EGR section where alot of this code is built, seeing how crazy the EPA is regarding any altercations of emissions related stuff...

But does bring up a valid point!!

As for user defined parameters, I have not seen them blocking off sections of the calibration segments yet, but I suppose it's a possibility in the future.

I was also able to apply the boost OS patch to a bin and convert the file into hpt with their tune translator. I didn't flash it. But in theory you could do that, do a write entire with HPT, and then import the xdf in the OP.

Maybe not a bad option if you've already spent the credits to license the vehicle
