They go by many names, P01, P59, VPW, '0411 etc. Also covering E38 and newer here.

RTLS1 Daughter Board.jpg

Picture of RTLS1 daughter PCB which has all components necessary for Real Time tuning and 100+ fps logging speed.

This daughter board is what would be supplied fully assembled if one wanted to build there own RTLS1 PCM.

Communication to the RTLS1 Daughter PCB is RG45 protocol. A square hole must be made in the PCM's aluminum case to accommodate the RG45 socket.

I watched bubba2533's video of it. Definitely would like to buy one as I'm starting to get into playing around with custom programming and would really like the live tuning function of this. Let me know what I have to do to get one.

I'm also running his Boost OS v2.1 and love it.

what/how does the GUI side of the RTLS1 look like/work?

I assume you have your own tuning package for editing and scanning? what definitions are available or does it use XDFs? what about DMA pids? EFI sure has a bunch that are helpful..

I'm very comfortable using EFI and use tunerpro as necessary. My current hesitation is learning yet again another GUI and getting up to speed on it within my workflow.

Correct the RTLS1 caters for editing and scanning.

what definitions are available or does it use XDFs?
---------------------------------------------------
Current definitions for the US market are for 12587603 and variants including Bubba's "LS1 Boost OS". and Australian VX VY VZ LS1 P01 and P59 PCM's
Can accommodate any GM LS1 mask using the P01 and P59 PCM's. RTLS1 does not use XDFs.

what about DMA pids? EFI sure has a bunch that are helpful..
------------------------------------------------------------
RTLS1 does not use DMA pids it uses memory locations within the bin file.
Communications protocol for the RTLS1 is High speed RJ45 Ethernet. This is how the RTLS1 can log at speeds up to 165 fps.
We can use EFILive's or HPTuners cable and its Bunch of Pids at the same time we are logging with RTLS1.

Me too

You will get up to Speed with the RTLS1.

The daughter boards are still for sale.

The board comes in two versions 0.5 Meg for 0411 (P01) PCM and 1.0 Meg for (P59) PCM.

If you install the 0.5 Meg board on a 0411 it will be 0.5 Meg flash.
