Guys, as you remember from earlier in the thread, I was able to get the flash chip out of the original and pull the data from it. I am not sure how much of it is good, as I was attempting to program it with a Tech2 and listen in and log using my J2534 and a logger and for some reason the flash failed. However I was able to find a bin file from a 2006 Trailblazer which is literally the same truck, different sub-brand as the flash that failed from a 2006 Envoy. I am going to upload it, and as far as I can tell it is a good read using some other professional tuner. I am sure if there is anything wrong with it you will probably be able to tell. However if good, which it should be, you should be able to figure out anything needed using it.

This is NOT a PCMHammer read, it's condition is suspect, see here: viewtopic.php?f=42&t=7742&start=220#p114773

Also just ran the latest test using a test version of PCM Hammer with this P12, and was able to pull a complete read. Here is the test bin that was pulled along with the log.

File removed due to half load read, see below.

I believe the industry classifies the 512kb as P12, and 1mb as P12B or something along those lines.

Its kinda like P01/P59, basically the same except the P59 has larger flash.

Cincinnatus,
You have a valid point ...

darkman5001,
Are you sure that chip is 512k and not 1m ??

Why are the others 1m ... Like the one you got off the lifted chip, it reported as OsID:12606400. This one AM29BL802CB@SOP56.BIN 1m.
This one reports as OsID:12606400 512k.

This boat don't float for me!

You saw this pics of inside the PCM I posted right? I found the documentation for that chip and that's what the documentation says "Am29BL802C 8 Megabit (512 K x 16-Bit)". Unless there are two versions of the P12 PCM, which I am unaware of.

I'm thinking there is some brain twisting games with the size wording ...

Does 512k x X16 = 1024 x X8 ???
Or am I just brain dead ...

A second PCM Hammer test was done. There is a size difference between the first read and second read and I am not exactly sure why that is.

Well I'd say that pretty much says it all ...

darkman5001, see my post right above your last post about the brain twisting games in the size description.
The first read, I had PCMHammer configured for 512 * 1024 (512k) bytes as I was told it was, when it is truly is 1024*1024 (1m) bytes ...

Edit; I should note that it was already entered in PcmInfo as 1024*1024, I changed it to 512*1024. So shame on me!
