New to E38 / E67 bin. Need a little help just to get started

They go by many names, P01, P59, VPW, '0411 etc. Also covering E38 and newer here.

Just to complete this thread.

As I am waiting for the public release of Tazzis tool and I failed to get an upload from my car with a couple of the tools available on this site I went searching and found a tool that can pull the bin out of an HPT file (search HPT to BIN). I tested it in a few places on my Aussie HSV LSA E67 and it worked perfectly on a v4.8.7 hpt file. I compared some of the tables with the CTS-V E67 definition files I have and there is some large offsets between the 2 bins so not a straight swap and would need some major time to develop the definition for Aussie HSV LSA E67 but definitely doable if someone wanted to invest the time.

Anyway, the whole point of me going through this was to find the 2 tables in the Aussie HSV LSA E67 OS 12656942 that deal with the flex fuel on cranking. These are available by default in EFILive but not in HPT.
They are:
{B0139} Cranking Ethanol Coolant Adjust | Address 1E1F08 | Scale 0.000488 | x Dim 1 | y dim 17
{B0140} Cranking Ethanol Blend Factor | Address 1E1F2C | Scale 0.0000305 | x Dim 1 | y Dim 9

I can confirm that they are populated the same as CTS-V. In the end there was nothing gained by going through this exercise.

I was never able to publicly find a Aussie HSV LSA E67 bin so I have attached below. This file is bone stock OS 12656942 from a VF2 Clubsport R8 LSA. This was created using the HPT 2 BIN tool.

----------------------------------------------------------

Bonus, so a lot of you probably know HPT is getting raped by the US EPA and for the last few versions has been stripping tables out related to emissions. The 1 major table that is missing is the cat test. The last version that has it was v4.8.7. But as always with HPT, at some point the MPVI2 will eventually be updated to a point where it will not be possible to use 4.8.7 anymore. Probably akin to the MPVI1 thread that is around here.

For those that have user defined parameters the address for the cat test enable / disable flag is 1C34BD for OS 12656942. Obvious disclaimer, check with your local legal authority to determine if this modification is legal at your location in the world. For example, cars sold in New Zealand before 2010 can legally remove their cats, so there is at least 1 valid and legal need for this particular table to exist somewhere outside of the US.

Hiya Folks,
Does anyone have a .bin file for the GMPP LSA E67? I found a HPT file in their repository if someone can convert. Trying to avoid buying a license just to satisfy my curiosity
