P01 OS change

They go by many names, P01, P59, VPW, '0411 etc. Also covering E38 and newer here.

So you recommend using that over the 12216125 ? I as long as it can implement the flex fuel and do boost in the future (hopefully soon) that’s mainly what I’m looking for. As soon as I get the crank sensor system all sorted I’ll post up and let you know how it goes.
With changing the os is there anything to worry about or just do a write entire and hold your breath?
Sorry for basic questions this is the first time of stuffed around with pcmhammer and ls ecus outside of hptuners

Ive never has issues with any P01 OS swaps as long as a write entire was done and done plenty of different P01 OS swaps, However thats using HPTuners. Id say pcmhammer would be the same though.

absolutely. just read entire pcm first so you have a bin with all the data including parameter block so you can roll back to your starting point, and go for it.

Awesome I assumed that was the case have t done an OS swap on an 0411 and what I read hptuners is sort of hit a miss from what I gathered as well as being expensive to do just wanted to make sure thanks guys
