VCX Nano can't do 4x

Post by coupster »

I have a MX+ and it works but slow. I read that the VCX Nano can do 4x. I kept my wires short, and tried multiple power supplies. Next step is a car battery and maybe make another cable with no lighted switches and keep it stupid simple. I've been pulling my hair out for days trying different stuff. I've tried different pcm's 411 and 6106. The nano will read with 4x communication unchecked.

I bought the nano from Amazon, is it possible these things are now clones and just garbage?

Wiring and power supply are a huge one. The VPW protocol is extremely reliant on very stable communication, especially at 4x, so if the power supply isn't the greatest then this can result in 4x failing.

I would have expected to at least see maybe 1 or 2 frames before it completed failed in the event its power related, so it could also be the nano not playing nicely.
