They go by many names, P01, P59, VPW, '0411 etc. Also covering E38 and newer here.

TunerPro Data Logging HELP...

Post by Vetteyog »

I am having an issue data logging with TunerPro. I can get it to give me data, but its all over the place.

I made a screenshot of what it doing.

I have 3 or 4 ADX's that are all doing the same thing. So I'm thinking that the issue is just some kind of setting.

Forget using TunerPro to log Gen 3 stuff. Use the logger and histogram creator in Universal Patcher or the logger that comes with PCM Hammer and something like Megalogviewer HD to create historgrams with your logs

I didn't know you could do all that in Universal Patcher. I can see data log info in PCMLogger, so I'm definitely gonna look into that!!

Thanks for the advice!!

I have heard of Megalogviewer, but I don't know anything about it.

TunerPro requires an ".adx" file for logging.
UNFORTUNATELY there has NEVER been one created for the OBDII interface.
OBDI used the ".adx" created for each .bin / .xdf pair.

Someone please chime in if I am wrong!

I think you're right on MudDuck514 ...

The issue looks to me like an ADX issue, not an XDF issue.

I've never heard of or seen an ADX for these PCM's, I however, do not know everything!

?
The ADX he's using seems to be based on this one, it's got the same creator name...

Sorry, typo... It is an ADX file issue. I am having some success with the Logger in Universal Patcher, but my RPM pid keeps dropping out. I'm starting to think it's a Corvette issue.

Yes, and that was a "template" created by the developer so OTHERS could make an .adx.
So, it is an incomplete, more or less useless, file for logging.

Ok, what about this one? I'm genuinely curious, not trying to be a dick. It seems to have a LOT of GM-specific stuff in it, but I have no idea if it's OBD2 or not. It's just one I found on the usual sites.

I dont know if any elm one works. I heard there was one that did, and its elsewhere on this site but I never got it working (typical with the million different variations of elm out there. Probably it did work for the person who made it, and nobody else). There is one for AVT that works well on this site. Except few have AVT interfaces. The universal patcher logger is probably your best bet, followed by pcmlogger second.
