Gm crank trigger wheel

They go by many names, P01, P59, VPW, '0411 etc. Also covering E38 and newer here.

Thanks Thorwon,

Will this run a V8 in sequential or only in Batch mode? Are there any drawings with dimensions available anywhere? I have the equipment to make it just need dimensions and information

24x has no batch mode that I'm aware of.

If the cam signal is missing it will run in batch mode.
Which really is not the biggest deal if it's like this. Sequential would be ideal though all the same.

I can do cam signal easy enough i think. Just wondering why they have the dual set of teeth on OEM if it works fine with just a single set.

Who knows, I mentioned earlier that GM went away from it from there next model onwards. I believe it was GM's first release with the coil per cylinder set up. Maybe it was a safer option.
The sensor must have some logic in it or maybe it's just a hi / low internal measurement to ensure it's reading each side correctly. As when one's high, the others low.
If it matches all is ok.

I wonder if the spark follows suit?

i dont see how that is possible, if its only got a crank signal it cant know when its on inlet v's exhaust stroke when firing the injectors .... unless its actually like wasted spark where it fires the injectors twice per 720 degrees

Dylan, if spark was wrong, it wouldn't run. Without a cam signal, it only has 2 options per crank revolution for firing order. It tries one, and if it doesn't start in a couple revolutions, it switches to the other and it will start. Then it runs with the successful try, hence the extended crank sometimes when no cam signal.

I was meaning of it followed the injectors or went to wasted spark. Which I think it will along with batch injection.
Just like the low res mode option in the software.
