Thank you for letting us know it worked and in car as well!

I don't know where the PCM is located in the Grand AM, I think it's buried under the dash, thus likely not possible without removing it, it's not that important, don't pull it out unless it's super simple ...

However, If you can see the label on that PCM would you please post the Service Number, maybe you can stick your phone in there and snap a pic of the label??

It's nice to have Service Numbers with the OsID, it helps us build an accurate OsID list, the OsID list is how PCMHammer knows what PCM it's working with.

Thank you!

on a completely assembled interior, it may be more difficult, but it wasn't too bad, as half the trim hasn't been reinstalled since I put the clutch pedal in and reworked the harness.

Or, perhaps there is a glitch in the software?

I think it's a fairly safe bet that it's a glitch. for shits and giggles, I went outside and fired the car up, it started just fine, that said, it has sat a hot minute without being on a battery tender or anything, so it's possible it's lower than it should be.

I would say there is definitely a firmware/driver change/issue with the OBDX Pro, nothing has changed in PCMHammer for a long time, and PCMHammer does nothing more then ask the J2534 VCI what the Voltage is ...

Hi all;

THIS: Service number 12583827 seems to be a fairly common PCM as the 2004 Olds Alero I HAD and the 2005 Chevy Venture both have this Service Number.
I THINK both of the spare P04 PCMs I have are too.
I'll have to check my friends 2004 GA and 2005 Buick Century to see if THEY have this one too.

My early test XPro VT does this too. I think its the early firmware or hardware. @Tazzi can probably advise more. I just ignore it as I know mine is a test version. Not sure if this is also early test hardware version or not. My GT works fine, and I know there has been a hardware revision since the early VTs due to the original CPU becoming NLA.

Was that using the OBDX native option or the J2534 option with the OBDX Pro VT?

Also, what version OBDX Pro VT is being used? (V1,V2,V3).

I’m testing with a v3 and not getting any voltage reading issues.

I'm using the OBDX option, I didn't check any revisions or anything, I purchased the OBDX about 2 weeks ago. I can try and check that stuff later today.

Thats odd. I just pulled the latest revision PCMHammer and tested on a new VT and Im getting back voltage.
Getting a value of 0.2v is actually receiving a dead zero value from the scantool, which typically only happens if there is no voltage received at the OBD port. Is there power going to the OBD port?

Could you open your debug view so I can see what response its getting as seen below?

Hmmm I have attempted to reproduce this on my VT and my GT and both are reading voltage correctly. I haven't updated firmware or anything. Perhaps there was a problem in an older version of pcmhammer and its been fixed, and my mention of it was a red herring.

It genuinely sounds really familiar. I am wondering if maybe it was an edit I did long ago for pcmhammer.
I would think ejs262 is using the latest PCMHammer version so that should be working.
