P04 R&W Testing

Post by rjdrew1986 »

This will be where I'll post P04 Debug Logs for Reads (& later Writes) using the PCM Hammer version under development to support P04 PCMs.

HI Gampy,

I have a total of (6) P04 PCMs. (2) are in running vehicles and (4) are spares. All (6) only have (2) different OSIDs (OSID 12618879 and OS ID 12587799). I've only provided you with BINs and debug logs for a PCM with each OSID. If I don't know if its helpful to provide BINs and Debug Logs for PCMs with the same OSID? Please let me know if it is helpful and I will provide BINS & Debug Logs for all (6) PCMs.

I'm entering into a period where I can be available for any testing that you & any of your fellow developers need.

Regards,
Ron

I think we do need someone with a 256kb and a 1Mb to test for us. We havnt read any of those sizes yet, I am not even sure if they have the correct size definition yet. I suspect PCMHammer will read them as 512K, and we will need Service Numbers to update its database. We'll also need Flash Chip IDs for the 256k as that is not there yet either. This is logged to the screen at the start of the read, so all you need to is cut and paste the ID off the user log and tell us the service number, if it comes up as unknown.

If anyone knows Service Numbers of these mystery 256k and 1m P04's I would surely appreciate knowing at least one each!

Thank you!

I opened a bunch of BINs in Universal Patcher to look at the file info it provides, the last column titled Extra Info includes PCM service & hardware numbers for the 1m BINs, but it's empty on the 256k BINs. every 256k BIN that I have says it came from a 1996 vehicle though so maybe that would help with finding some of those service numbers?

Wow Thank you!

I assume the PN column is the Service Number ... The ones on the end (extra data) and gobbed together are useless without knowing what they are.

Thank ya very much!

Do you have a 256k or 1m PCM ??

Oh maybe. I was thinking S̶e̶r̶v̶i̶c̶e̶ ̶N̶u̶m̶b̶e̶r̶ (sorry, mistyped) PN was osid or calibration number and then PCM and PCM2 were service and hardware numbers. I don't have anything to confirm or deny that though.

No, both of the ones I have are regular 512k unfortunately

Got any idea what years and models these mystery PCMs were installed on? I can probably get service numbers.
