Post by upyas »

Is it possible to do a spark cut or a 2 step for a ecotec or earlier v6?

Something loud, -30deg on limiter would be mad.

anyone had any success with this?

cheers

Yes and no. Yes as in VL400's programmable ignition module has a 2 step limiter, no as in they are no longer made since quite a few years ago and impossible to find now.

You can pseudo do this with a 424 ECU from a VR as it has dwell control but you lose a heap of functions for the dash iirc putting it in a VT-VY.
It might be possible to do similar with the ECU you have but I know nothing about MAF based ECUs so someone else will be to confirm or not.
I'm the director of VSH (Vlad's Spec Holden), because HSV were doing it ass about.
