
end result is I found this on the pcm plug....
if you look closely enough left hand side bottom row third pin in is missing, and right hand side of the row above is missing second one in from the end....
turns out the one on the right hand side is the class 2 serial data so she didn't want to do a thing after I disturbed that...
so I stick pins in the plug and put it back together and it all worked, albeit stopped if I wiggled the plug, so I went all dodgy like and soldered pins onto what was left of the old pins...... thus far has been working for a few weeks with no issues since

knowing this is only a matter of time till failure, I have made a few purchases in the hope of resolving the issue more long term....
now the problem is I can't seem to get the mdi and gds to even talk to the car ......
interested to know if anyone has used any of these things and know what I need to do to make it work, hoping to have the whole weekend to be able to sort it out if needs be, but kinda don't want to unplug the pcm till I know I can do it as I will risk breaking off the soldered pins, and let me tell you it was a pain in the ass to get them soldered on in the first place!
I also have HPT with licencing for the current PCM and if needs by I'm willing to licence a new PCM assuming i can do what i need with either it or the MDI/GDS option.
