Re: PCMHacking Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
hi, I am trying to write to a 29ee010 chip with a GX 4x4 chip burner.
I cannot find the above chip type, the closet I find is 29F002 which is 256KB vs 128KB (The chip in the burner)
I decided to try and write to it anyway, i used HxD to verify and the parameters are way off. Could someone please point me in the right direction?
Below are relevant codes

c:\users\user\desktop\vx_v6_sc_%24a5k_enhanced_v1.3f\vxnovat.bin.
Configuration OK!
This software is updated already.

Re: PCMHacking Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Please start a new thread for this. But short answer is thats a flash memory, not the traditional eeprom type we mostly use and being page erase your going to need the right memory mapping, close but not the same wont work.

ACRONYMS
This seems to be missing so I thought it would be good to add it as i had to search else where for it ...I did not read every post so apologies if this is a repeat.
PCM, Powertrain Control Module
BCM, Body Control Module
ECU, Electronic Control Unit, (generic term, ie. "Engine ECU")
ECM, Engine Control Module
TCM, Transmission Control Module
TDM, Theft Deterrent Module
please correct and delete if this info is wrong in any way .
Other wise it should be on the first page

Re: PCMHacking Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
We have the 12p guides in the first post, but there isnt more detail than that, sorry. generally speaking its setup jumpers on the nvram to set cylinders and pcm for the 11p computers. load the calibration for the closest factory tune, set flags for map sensor type, set injector rate and battery voltage delay, set cranking time stage 1 and 2 by percentage of difference between stock injectors and what you've got, then tune ve and spark.

424 PCM wiring NV RAM
Hi,
Can anyone tell me if using the PCM with a stock MEMcal back in it,
and leaving the wire that was soldered in underneath the board still attached will cause an issue?
I can seem to find any mention about it.
