2bar vn v6 stock format possible?

Post by VX L67 Getrag »

Hey all,

I've seen some 2bar vn v6 tunes for sale on ebay & had a guy ask about them & I tried talking into the $12p, but with the ebay 1 for only $100 it's hard to talk him into spending more!

Is there 2bar vn stock format tunes available & is there any problems with it? I'm guessing there would e loss of resolution?

Cheers VX L67 Getrag

yeah its known as the 2 bar 5D, just add a 2 bar map sensor to a 5D tune and fudge injector rate a bit, then rename columns in the tables to squish the 2 bar in - 50 becomes 100kpa, 100 kpa becomes 200kpa, then retune the VE table. not excellent as you lose half the resolution in the tables, but it works (sort of)

hi,

DOES ANYONE HAVE CUSTOM TUNE FOR VY V6 RUNNING 808 COMPUTER ?

VEHICLE IS ALSO DUAL FUEL (LPG)

ALTERNATIVELY DOES THE 12P TUNE WORK WELL WITH LPG?

$12p is not a tune, its a program, then you tune it to suit. It will run pretty much any engine, and enough tunes to run the stock engines from the 'era of the 808s are included. To run a VY you will have problems with the 808 not being able to run the dash, and abs, etc but it will be able to run the engine with appropriate spark and fuel map.

Also, please be aware CAPS IS CONSIDERED SHOUTING. :) Good luck with your project!

well this is ripped from a VX 2001 LS1 pcm (it was actually removed from a vt that was wrapped around something but the vin tells another story, the owner sold it to the new owner saying it was from a vy..... (pcm, programming and loom tell another story)

efilive complains, wants a custom config file... gets the VIN, flash size, OS, OS ID, cal, BCC and gets the checksums correct.
hpt opens it with no problems at all, can change some things with the 2500 xdf, but not all.

sick of staring at hexcode, anyone able to shed some light on where and how this tune came to life, it's a mafless ls1 tune, is it a hsv release or some custom tuned release from tuner X?

Another bit of info, the 6243 pcm has as far as i can find identical pinouts to the 0411 (might've had to introduce the plastic to the bench grinder to make them fit but hey, it wasn't green and that was easier than changing it to red) with the above linked bin shoved in the new pcm, there was no fuel pump control (bridge the FP relay out and it ran flawlessly, no vats issues, no fault codes just simply couldn't control the FP relay as the 0411 pcm did) any light/experience on this situation? (apart from the 2 fp control's, didn't have time to try swapping wires in the pcm plugs)

have part of my answer, bin file removed.

It looks like an EFI LIve Custom Operating System COS 01270003. They are to run SD 01270001, 01270002 and boost in 01270003
