Yeah so far as Yoda said I don't think there's any VX LPG bins read with the eeprom data still in place(so useless to use)!

But in saying that if there on the memcal id tool with eeprom data erased it means someone must have it out there!

The information is in the thread above, but heres a pic which shows the socket labels on the PCM. Note that the sockets are out of order. That is, we have the original 808 style connector (with different keyway) for a+b in the middle, and c+d on the end, then we have d+e which was added with the PCM models on the other side. You can see the red squares where I have noted where you can verify the port letters at the back of the connectors on the PCM. Click the pick to zoom in for a closer look.

antus wrote:I got my hands on a VX pcm last night - service no 09356445, type 16269248, and a quick looks shows the pcb layout and components are exactly the same as this VY one, with only two differences. 19/01 in the box in the corner of the pcb and U17 is a 61614 instead of a 61588. I'd be very suprised if the two PCMs were not compatible. I have heard this before, so seeing it just backs that up really. I'd post a pic if it was more different.
Interesting, so a VY PCM is 16269238, yet a VX PCM is 16269248. Strange, you'd expect the VY would have the higher number than the VX.

Hi there, I'm hoping someone can help me.
I have carried out an engine conversion on a 2003 Ford Transit using a 2003 Holden Commodore VY V6 Ecotec engine and 4L60E auto transmission.
The loom was modified by The Castlemaine Rod Shop to work without the BCM and ignition key.
I purchased the USB ALDL from Envyous Customs to allow for programing of the VY PCM to suit the operational requirements of the Transit. Reinstalled the drivers 5 times and always comes up as Port6 with no issues.
I carried out the bench testing procedure as per this article but could not get OSE Flashtool to connect with the PCM. There is no return transmission/connection coming from the PCM.
I found that there was no wire coming from D09 to allow connection to Pin 6 on the ALDL Diagnostic Connector. Running a wire from the PCD did not make any difference.
There is a difference in the recommended wiring for Bench Testing from this site so I am confused and have had no luck with getting a connection using either method. Watched and followed the bench testing procedure from Youtube and no luck.
I even tried purchasing another PCM and wiring loom plugs and again wired that one as per the instructions in this thread. Again, I got the same results.
I need to remove the VATS from the PCM so I can start the engine and continue with my conversion.
Any help that anyone can provide is much appreciated.
Cheers
David

aldl on the interface is pin 9 not pin 6. You need the ignition signal to 'key on'.

show us how ypu have the flashtool set up?
