VY PCM - 16269238

Post by VL400 »

Here is a picture of a 6 cyl VY PCM (if anyone wants a 15MP high res shot PM me). It uses a AMD 29F010B flash chip (U11) in place of the memcal.

see it still has a spot for a memcal header  much like a vs pcm but less componants same 3 plug setup too wonder if a vs style would be swappable to the harness for conversions

Will be awhile off yet for a realtime! Plus its a bit of a nightmare to work with. The flash chip probably wont programmable on board so yeah would have to add a board to the row of pins above it. All the pins seem to be there from a quick buzz out.

The VS connectors have different key ways so not direct plugin unless you do some filing, much like the VN to VR plugs. Pinouts, well you would have to check all that out.

Yeah only 6 drivers, but has room for two more - pretty hard to buy them, would have to remove them from another PCM probably. Hopefully you have a mate that wants to run one on a 4 cyl

look the same as VS injector drivers i have 6 here if anyone ever needs any  i think the flash chip should be flashable on board if things like efilive/vcm suite etc can flash it

I WANT ONE!

I reckon this should be where we focus our efforts. Is it still using a 6811 based code or is it 16 bit?

It will be a far more powerful ECU.
