true, but i was pointing out that the PC wont go into diag mode until it gets the data request from the BCM ( or BCM Simulator)
chopping up a BCM & dash is a nice way of doing it but the BCM Simulator ( from V6 Conversions) is much easier
these will give you all normally available BCM/PCM functions.
