Well it looks the part! It certainly follows what a normal spark map should look like, looking forward to the results of the test

well did my first trip with the vs spark map .... it seems to be ok so far, can feel the lack of timing at WOT but thats the whole idea .... early next week i'll finish the 98 tank and i'll fill her with 91 and then we'll really see how it goes!

Don't know if this will help, but I've fixed the milligrams per cylinder in the ADX file and then created a histogram of MAP Vs RPM Vs mgc.
If the tables in the VS file are similar to that in the VT, it then should be a relatively easy process to convert them from mgc to MAP, realising that it will need to be done for EGR Spark, Lean Cruise Spark Map, PE and AE enrichment etc.
As can be seen in the file, the relationship between MAP and mgc is very uniform.
Just a different approach to get to the same end point, it's all data manipulation, just a matter of which way you want to skin the cat.

No, it was looking at the wrong byte of data in the stream.
The PROM ID should be bytes 24 and 25, and mgc is byte 26.
I fixed up the mgc but not the PROM ID.

well bit of an update .... few weeks running the stock VS timing and 91 octane fuel, started off with about 13L/100km and after dialing in the ve table i've seen 10L/100km out of the last tank!
i still reckon theres more in it but either way im pretty happy.
my VZ SV6 Ute doing the same trip to work and back usually gets 10.5-11L/100km and the torana gets better economy and goes harder ..... so i've achieved the goal i had with the v6 conversion!
also working on getting some logs together from the powerchip gold 98 tune thats in the brothers car at the moment so then we'll have 91 and 98 octane timing tables for map based conversions!
