vs v8 VAT remove

Post by capper »

Hi guy's,
Done heaps of searching and cannot find the answer. I need to disable VATS in BWFW0312 code.
I have used the $83 xdf and cannot see anywhere that even looks like *VATS*.

Any help would be greatly appriciated.
Cheers...

BWFW looks like a $5A code base. However since its a VS V8 Manual tune it might be worth putting OSE12S (or P when its out) on there. I believe the tune thats in the downloadable one is a V8 tune. Vats is disableable or can be sected to keep a VS BCM happy.

If you want to use factory bin you could use $12 BLCF.$5A xdf very hard to find.

Thanks guy's, This is for a conversion into Torana hatchback so I guess a factory BIN is not mandatory.
Cabling is bare as one can get it, so that is why i am trying with out VATS.

I am really trying to take advantage of the sequential injection in the VS version.
I'll try again and see how it goes....I may quiz your brains again. :?

Cheers....

VS v8's dont have sequential injection. that bin you have is a normal batch fire bin.

VS Series 3 and VT are the sequential motors. may as well use a $12, where the VATS location is known, you wont notice any difference.

Hi jayme, thanks for your help.

woud this combo work ?
ECU: 16176424 - This is what I have.
BIN: BFPM.BIN - Downloaded from this site.
XDF: I can ony find (16183082 $12 version xx.zip). Would i need a 16176424 $12 XDF ?

The reason i need an xdf is sothat i can *try* and tune it once it s started.

Once again, thanks for all your help.

just to be clear the car has a T5, i am after a manual BIN

yeah you are stuck with using Auto bins as that is an auto PCM, it just wont run a manual bin, the ecu is physically different with different pinouts. if you want to use that PCM, you have to get an auto bin, auto xdf, and turn off all of the AUTO related error codes.... I already have a VS v8 auto bin here somewhere with all of that already done if you want it.
