VL commodore performance chip ?

VL commodore performance chip ?

Just wondering if anyone knows what size chip they use or can i use a 27c128
And has anyone got a bin file i can try on one it is a na 6 auto with extractors 2 and a half inch exhaust

27C128 should work they run a 16kb bin just a little harder to chip than a delco :mrgreen:
If Its Got Gas Or Ass Count Me In.if it cant be fixed with a hammer you have an electrical problem

Yeah lovely socket solder in job i done one about 5 years ago

some people seem to have the idea that this definition should be kept secret lol but I made one from a trial of nistune and a bit of time.. so its not that secret just cant find it so here is one that somone else made.
freedom of information!

vl turbo is the same definition as the n/a ones too

Thanks will have a play today
A tip when removing the old eprom resolder it before using the solder sucker It makes it easier
Get it nice and hot and place the sucker around the pin as it has to suck solder from the other side of the circuit board.
And they didn't mention it is also glued to the board as well.

I cheat :P just cut all the pins off the eprom with a pair of fine wire cutters, then unsolder each pin individually. done three VL ecus all worked great.

All good worked well car idled better and pulled harder through the rev range without hesitation thanks
