VS V8 Auto Tuning

Having an attempt of playing with the tune on my VS V8 auto. I thought I'd start with baby steps and put a stock HSV 185 bin on the memcal by turning off Knock Sensor Diag. (Error 43) and setting Burst Knock Retard Enable Coolant Temp. to max temp as I'm not running a knock sensor or filter board. No matter what I do it wont work. Car will start I suspect on LHM chip and auto is stuck in 2nd gear. I can successfully burn the stock or the stock HSV bin back in obviously with knock fault. Stock bin is BWFU0310 and the HSV bin I'm trying with is the BSAK9272 I'm lost as to whether I'm doing something wrong in Tuner Pro when I'm saving my modified bin. Any help would be appreciated. Did you change the checksum to AA?

Burst knock retard isn't what you want to max out. Can't remember the name off hand sorry.
Look at running 11P anyway copy in the 185 VE and spark tables and go from there. Check the VATS to if you're running that.

I think the issues are related to the XDF's I've tried. The XDF from the memcal id tool wont allow me to change the checksum to AA and comes up with an unusual program id as $131. If I use a different XDF then it comes up as $83 and allows me to change it to AA and has given me some success. Only one of the XDF's lists KESCOOLA: ESC params - Coolant temp enable. I'll keep trying

Go 11P 100% correct XDF quality BIN and ADX. Can't go wrong.

Ok so definite issue was with AA checksum and XDF's. I used one XDF to change the checksum and the other to make the knock sensor changes and it seems to have worked. I'll definitely look at 11P
