Re: VIM (Variable Intake Manifold) Amplifier Deletion
We always had nothing but problems with our s1 sv6. Spent a small fortune on it always fixing it. We never use to drive it in the end as every time we did we had problems with check engine lights poor running ect. I think by the time I was done with it I'd replaced just about every sensor on the fucking thing. Same with the stereo I had fitted to it. It was like a $2500 alpine head unit designed actually for the car with all touch screen shit in it and even that ended up playing with shit in the car. Biggest piece of shit we ever owned.

Do you have a picture or discription of what you did to just the plug end to bypass it? I've never seen the plug so unsure if it has 2pins or 3 pins or what.Biggvl wrote:The 'VIM AMP delete kit' was often on backorder, when it was we'd bypass, when we could we'd use the kithsv08 wrote:Did you use the "VIM DELETE" plug? or just resolder the wires to loop back? im after more info regarding the what happens to the plug end once disconnected.Biggvl wrote:VZ dont have VIM, i have done hundreds of the VE 1 'VIM amp reworks' haven't done one in a few years though...
